COVID-19 Update

Dear Valued Guests,

As information from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO) pertaining to COVID-19 developments is released, Newport News Golf Club @ Deer Run would like to assure you that we are monitoring these updates and adjusting our practices to minimize the risk of spreading the virus at our facility. Until otherwise recommended by City Administration, Newport News Golf Club will remain open to the public but many safety precautions will be observed.

Our Deer Run Championship Course offers public access to ample greenspace and fresh air, which we believe will promote good health, stress relief, and opportunity for proper social distancing standards during this time of uncertainty. Although most indoor City facilities are closed to the public until further notice, we welcome you to take advantage of the outdoors.

Course & Driving Range

When visiting our golf course, we recommend promoting your personal safety with the use of gloves and social distancing of a minimum of 6ft as much as possible. While our golf carts and range balls are sanitized after each use, we encourage you to use additional precautions to ensure your good health.

Important Reminder

Please stay home if you are sick or are caring for someone in your household who is sick. Avoid touching your face with unwashed hands. Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Use an alcoholbased hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol if soap and water are not available. Our greatest defense at this time is limiting the spread of illness to “flatten the curve” of infection and reduce pressure on our local medical professionals.

Thank you, and stay well!
