Things to remember:
- Tee times are required. Call 757-886-7925
- PLEASE ARRIVE AND BE CHECKED IN atleast 10 minutes prior to Tee Time
- Dress Code. Proper golf attire required . Collar shirts and No cutoffs allowed.
- Proper golf shoes with mandatory soft spikes.
- Only adults 18 and older are permitted to operate electric cart.
- Please do not drive golf carts beyond the tree line.
- All Players must have their own set of clubs
- Carts need to be returned by sunset.
- Only two riders permitted per cart.
- Alcohol is not permitted to be brought on the course unless purchased through Fairways Grill.
- If a Non Golfer is with a group requiring an extra cart, please call the pro shop the day of play to confirm the extra cart will be allowed. There will be NO non-golfer riders til after 3pm on Weekends and Holidays.
- Baby strollers are prohibited on the golf course, Baby Car seats are prohibited on golf carts
RAIN CHECK POLICY
For the convenience of our golfer’s it is policy of Newport News Golf Club at Deer Run’s management to issue “rain checks” for discontinuance of play caused by inclement weather-rain, sleet or snow only. The guidelines under which “rain checks’ will be issued are as follows.
18-HOLE GREEN FEE TICKET HOLDERS
A “ rain check for the full value of your ticket (18-holes) will be issued provided the inclement weather occurs before you hit your tee shot on the first hole of play. Once you hit your tee shot on the first hole of play and before you hit your tee shot on the 10th hole of play, a 9-hole “rain check” will be issued if play is suspended for inclement weather. No “rain check” for special rate tickets (PROMOTIONAL COUPONS, MIDDAY & TWILIGHT) No “rain check” will be issued after you have hit your tee shot on the 10th hole of play.
9-HOLE GREEN FEE TICKET HOLDERS
A “rain check” for the full value of your (9-holes) will be issued provided the inclement weather occurs before you hit your tee shot on the first hole of play. No “rain check” will be issued after you have hit your tee shot on the first hole of play.

Golfers must present your original receipt in order to receive any “rain check” We are sorry, but our accounting system will not allow us to give cash refunds “Rain checks” are only good for the course on which they were issued There are no “rain checks” on midday or twilight rounds once you tee off the first hole
NOTICE: Lessee and/or driver is/are responsible for any loss of or damage to the rented equipment and to other City property caused by the rented equipment, while the rented equipment is in the possession, custody, or control of lessee and/or driver. This responsibility may include the costs of repair, replacement, cleaning, recovery, transportation, or other expenses reasonably incurred by the City as a result of any such damage.
